Lula in his own Words

Former Brazilian President, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva speaks to Intercept journalist, Glenn Greenwald, about his views on the Mensalão, Operation Lava-Jato, the impeachment of her protegé, Dilma Rousseff and the reasons of the ongoing economic and political crises in Brazil.

Lula says that the political crisis is all about framing him and Rousseff in what he calls a coup that seeks to endanger the democratic state of Brazil.

Lula also spoke about how the mainstream media in Brazil, including outlets like Globo and Veja, have been instrumental in the success of what he deems a coup against the Brazilian government.
