What does a tyrant and an oppressive regime do when someone or some people do not fall into line? They use violence, coercion and threats to take over power.
Taking over Catalonia against the will of its people is exactly what the Spanish government intends to do. In order to do that, its representatives allied themselves with Partido Popular (PP) and Partido Socialista Obrero Español (PSOE) thugs so that all together can split the Catalan pie.
The Government of the Popular Party agreed with the PSOE on the activation of measures to intervene the autonomy of Catalonia and to lead to a call for early elections in the region in January.
The same position was heard from the mouth of the Secretary General of PSOE, Pedro Sánchez, who made it clear that their intent is to force early elections in Catalonia.
Spanish officials said in an interview with TVE, the government propaganda outlet, that the intention of the Government and PSOE would be to intervene Catalonia to put their political accomplices in power through what would be a made up election, which the government of Madrid would certainly recognize because they would be in control of everything. Elections, according to members of PP would be held in in less than 3 months.
For their part, representatives of PSOE, said that “it would be great” to avoid the call for January elections, if Puigdemont calls them on an ordinary basis.
Carmen Calvo heads the Socialist delegation that is negotiating with the Spanish Executive the concrete measures that an extraordinary Council of Ministers will approve tomorrow to apply article 155 on Catalonia. She says the intent is to return constitutional order to the region, but in reality is everything that Madrid wanted: To impose their tyrannical control over the richest region of the territory.
