Yes, there are fake news out there, in both mainstream and alternative media. That fact is enough of a reason to have more and more diverse news outlets than ever before.
The mainstream media has been an accomplice of the fake news business for decades, as David Rockefeller confessed during a meeting with the same people that are now crying because the President-elect is not giving them the inside scoop:
“We are grateful to The Washington Post, The New York Times, Time magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. … It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years.”
Under such reality, it was easy to understand why traditional media would always refrain from reporting impartially and why journalism had become an empty, opinion-based affair, as supposed to a fact-seeking enterprise. To this, Rockefeller added:
”The world is now much more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.”
Journalists cannot be simple messengers of information. It is within the realm of their responsibilities to investigate and understand what is behind hidden agendas and to convey that information in the best way possible to the readers and viewers, but that does not include lying to the public in an effort to push a political candidate, a political agenda or a specific plan or policy, neither from corporations nor from governments.
Having credible news as the rule and not as the exception is necessary now more than ever before. The polarization that took place before, during and that still continues after the US election makes it clear that the media has the power to shape reality and that most of the mainstream media decided to abandon high journalistic standards to support the Hillary Clinton campaign for the presidency while attacking and lying about her opponent, Donald J. Trump.
See, reality revolves around our perception of the world. It depends on what we can perceive. The type of information we have when perceiving reality is vital to understand it as it truly is. The ever widening gap between what is believed to be real and what is indeed real grows because of lack of information or the use of biased information.
For news to be useful it must be produced and reported with historical perspective, showing the agendas that hide behind the headlines.
Shouldn’t the public make decisions based on truthful, fact-supported information? Doesn’t the public deserve real information? If you agree, it is paramount to stop following mainstream media and to turn your eyes to the new media.
Because everything you do is based on choices you make and because those choices are based on information you obtain or that is provided to you, it is imperative to operate on the best information possible.
The existence of fake news is not something new. Fake news is not put out by hakers or foreign governments, as Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton want the public to believe. It is true, however, that the CIA has placed fake news and propaganda on mainstream media for decades. Several of those media are the ones that are being sidelined by Trump because of their biased coverage of the election.
In fact, many of the greatest human-made disasters in history have been allowed to happen or have been encouraged by mainstream media reports. Remember the claim that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction? How about all the reports about Osama Bin Laden being dead or having been killed by the US? That lie alone was reported multiple times. Remember Mission Accomplished? How about the lies about Assad using WMDs against his people?
War, mass murder, genocide and other high crimes have been aided by mainstream media, not new media, and more recently so-called alternative media outlets’ failure to report the truth, plain and simple.
The media also supports false realities and arguments such as banning politically incorrect speech, having safe spaces, micro aggressions, man-made global warming, Russia hacking the Democratic Party’s servers, Trump being a trojan horse for Vladimir Putin and other clever inventions produced by the left-most wing of the progressive movement to further balkanize society.
As explained by Stephen J. Lendman in his article NYT Urges Internet Censorship, “along with other media scoundrels, it long ago lost credibility, which is why alternative sources of news, information and analysis are growing at their expense.” It has become a key feature of the outlets like the New York Times, The Washington Post and CNN, among others, to “misinform, distort, distract and lie, vital hard truths banished from their reporting – fake news their specialty,” adds Lendman.
In a separate article titled Trump Unloads on Media Scoundrels, Lendman rightly points out how the so-called fourth state is nothing more than presstitutes “the most powerful force against the general welfare of the majority of the people.” Who else but the mainstream media glorify war as a tool to birng about peace and democracy to non-aligned parts of the world?
It is necessary to sanitize the news and the only way to do that is to dump the mainstream media to make the news credible again. The American President-elect has already done that, now the public needs to follow his lead; not because of him or for him, but because it is the right thing to do.
What media should you watch out for? All media. Traditional and new media, local and national. Why? Because the media’s job is no longer to tell you the truth, but to tell you what they think you want to hear. Give special attention to the following list of news outlets for false information and government propaganda:
The Financial Times
El Pais (Spain)
The New York Times
The Washington Post
The Daily Beast
Los Angeles Times
The Huffington Post
The New Yorker
Also, be aware that most of the “experts” and pundits who appear on television are paid to appear there, either by the media or by organizations whose interests they are supposed to promote everytime they appear on your screen. It is important to remember to be a skeptic first and to check any and all information with several sources before you give it any credibility. If possible, go to the source of the information and remove all filters that were placed between that source and yourself.
