Ron Paul: The Time Magazine Interview
By Luis R. Miranda
Texas representative Ron Paul is virtually tied with current president Barack Obama, according to the latest Rasmussen poll. A national Rasmussen survey (1,000 LVs, 4/12-13, MoE +/- 3%) pits Texas Rep. Ron Paul (R) against President Obama in a hypothetical 2012 matchup. The result: Obama 42, Paul 41. Additionally, others candidates scored 11 percent of the vote, while 6 percent said they were undecided.
Other results show that Obama gets 79% of support from Democrats, while Paul gets 66% of GOP votes. People who said they were not associated with either political party, preferred Paul 47% to 28% over the president.
During a recent interview with Time Magazine, representative Paul reaffirmed some of the beliefs that may have put him up there with the president.
