Twitter Admits it’s Censoring Messages

“This is a good thing for freedom of expression, transparency and accountability,” says Twitter Council Alexander Macgilliviray

Forget SOPA, PIPA and OPEN. ACTA is the big Enchilada

While most of the attention regarding government censorship of the Internet has been focused on the United States due to the imminent passage of the SOPA, PIPA and OPEN bills, those pieces of legislation are mostly bound to affect Americans. As we have reported previously, bills like the ones mentioned above have the power to literally disconnect the United States from the rest of the world, should the President decide illegal content from anywhere outside the country violates copyright law or any other law for that matter.

Remember SOPA and PIPA? Meet their cousin OPEN

Many of us breathed a sigh of relief when an overwhelming amount of Americans banned together and voiced their opposition to Congress over both the Stop Online Piracy Act, and Protect Intellectual Property Act

Google: Don’t be Hypocrite!

Yesterday The Real Agenda explained what would a government controlled Internet would mean for all of us. Today, I want to help us understand how Google, Yahoo and other Internet giants are playing as hypocrites. Many technology corporations, but especially Google supported a major shutdown to protest a government initiative to gain more control of the Internet. However, Google itself is an NSA creation. So why would this Internet monster show opposition to a government sponsored bill that in fact would give it even more dominance in the race to monopolize the net

What does Government Control of the Internet Mean?

Remember all those articles you read a year or two ago that warned us all about the end of the internet as we knew it? That moment has come. Different from what has been reported on the dying corrupt corporate media, the new legislation intended to regulate internet traffic and content, among other things, is not a threat to internet piracy; that is just the excuse to approve it. What the bill known as SOPA really threatens is the free access, posting, reading and circulation of information as we now know it.

Monsanto To Face Biopiracy Charges In India

In an unprecedented decision, India’s National Biodiversity  Authority(NBA), a government agency, declared legal action against  Monsanto (and their collaborators) for accessing and using local  eggplant varieties (known as brinjal) to develop their Bt genetically  engineered version1 without prior approval of the competent authorities, which is considered an act of “biopiracy.”2

Thousands protest Bulgaria ‘fracking’ plans

Several thousand Bulgarians demonstrated across the country on Saturday against plans for shale gas exploration by US company Chevron that they say could harm the environment.

Scientists show how internet dependency alters the human brain

Internet addiction has for the first time been linked with changes in the brain similar to those seen in people addicted to alcohol, cocaine and cannabis. In a groundbreaking study, researchers used MRI scanners to reveal abnormalities in the brains of adolescents who spent many hours on the internet, to the detriment of their social and personal lives. The finding could throw light on other behavioural problems and lead to the development of new approaches to treatment, researchers said.

The World of Free Energy

In the late 1880′s, trade journals in the electrical sciences were predicting free electricity and free energy in the near future. Incredible discoveries about the nature of electricity were becoming common place. Nikola Tesla was demonstrating “wireless lighting” and other wonders associated with high frequency currents. There was an excitement about the future like never before.
